Never Out of His Sight by Joe Barnett

You notice everything I do and everywhere I go.
Psalms 139:3

The annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas is the biggest, glitziest, and weirdest tech show in the world.

On display at CES this year was a smart refrigerator that will automatically order food items that need to be restocked; and a toilet with voice-activated flush, yours for only $7,000.

The profusion of tech gadgets is a mixed blessing. I like having a GPS that guides me to my destination. I’m not too keen on the possibility of snoops knowing my every move.

I’m glad God got here first: we’re on his radar as our protector. “You know all about me…You notice everything I do and everywhere I go…and with your powerful arm, you protect me from every side” (Psalm 139:1-5).

Wherever you go, God is already there.

Missions Reports!

Gospel Chariot Missions: This is one of the five missions we supported in 2018. Our contribution to them was $2,390. According to their most recent report, their accomplishments for last year included starting 33 congregations, printing 20,000 Bibles for Uganda and baptizing 4,000 people.

Church of Christ Disaster Relief: 2018 is the first year we supported this ministry. We were helped by them after Hurricane Ike in 2008. Three 18-wheeler loads of goods, each with a value of $80,000 were delivered to Broadway for distribution to the citizens of Galveston. We also gave this ministry $2,390.
They are currently sending supplies to Illinois due to a tornado, sending furniture and appliances to California due to forest fires, and Florida and Georgia following devastation from Hurricane Michael. They are prepared to send more shipments of food, baby supplies, cleaning products, personal care items, water, appliances, bedding and other supplies to victims of disasters as needed.
