Sack Lunch Program
For over fifteen years the church has provided nutritious sack lunches and toiletry items to members of the homeless population in Galveston. This benevolent effort has yielded many success stories. As a result of this program several members of this community have obeyed the Gospel and are currently serving at Broadway The preparation and distribution of the meals has been the ministry work of Joe Knox and Mikey Isbell.
All ladies are invited to participate in the Quilting Class led by Pat Palmer. All skill levels are welcome — even if you have never sewn before, don’t worry. Pat is a willing and capable teacher. The class meets on Tuesday afternoons at 1:00 pm at the church building. This ministry provides an excellent opportunity to fellowship, share your thoughts, have fun and to be creative. So bring your scissors, ruler, pencil (for marking pattern pieces), thread and needle. Pat has fabric scraps for your beginning quilt. See y’all there!
